Last night we enjoyed some amazing bbq. Today I'm reheating some brisket and ribs when I realize we were out of bbq sauce. Being the "I bet I can make that" mom I took to the Internet to find base recipes. After finding a few good ones I seasoned & spiced it to my liking and added a little extra perks.
- Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup organic apple cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup honey or agave nectar
- 1/2 cup tomato paste
- 1/4 cup molasse
- 1 tsp. coconut sugar
- 3 Tbsp. worcestershire
- 2 tsp. liquid smoke
- 1 tsp. smoked paprika
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. freshly-ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 tsp. cayenne (for a kick)
This is such an easy recipe. All you need to do is whisk together all of the ingredients, place them in a pot until it boils (about five minutes) remove from heat and let cool.I received this mason jar decorating kit for Christmas. But the colors go perfect with the month of February. So I went ahead and jazzed up my jar.
And that's it! Enjoy!
