Homemade BBQ sauce

Last night we enjoyed some amazing bbq. Today I'm reheating some brisket and ribs when I realize we were out of bbq sauce. Being the "I bet I can make that" mom I took to the Internet to find base recipes. After finding a few good ones I seasoned & spiced it to my liking and added a little extra perks.

  •  Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup organic apple cider vinegar
  • 1/3 cup honey or agave nectar
  • 1/2 cup tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup molasse
  • 1 tsp. coconut sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. worcestershire
  • 2 tsp. liquid smoke
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. freshly-ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 tsp. cayenne (for a kick)
This is such an easy recipe. All you need to do is whisk  together all of the ingredients, place them in a pot until it boils (about five minutes) remove from heat and let cool.

I received this mason jar decorating kit for Christmas. But the colors go perfect with the month of February. So I went ahead and jazzed up my jar.

And that's it! Enjoy!
